Thank you for choosing to be our customer, and use Helpbook’s  website and app (collectively, the “Site”). The Privacy Policy of Helpbook (the “Policy”) describes how we - the owners of the Site - Kislev Y”A Ltd. (Reg. No. 514189828) collect and process personally identifiable information on the Site. Your privacy is important to us, therefore we recommend you read this Policy carefully.

The Privacy Policy applies to you even if you have not signed up for the Site, except for the terms and conditions of the Policy that are applicable only to registered users.

If after reading the Policy you find that it does not match your view or wishes, you should refrain from using the Site. We will regret it, but this is your full right. From time to time we may make changes to the Policy, due to the dynamic nature of the Site, of the Internet in general, and of the legislative and regulatory aspects that may apply to the Site's activity. We will post a notice about changes to the Policy on the Site or send you a notice by email detailing the changes and the date the changes will come into effect.

Your consent to the Policy will also constitute acceptance to future changes to the Policy, unless you will notify us of your disapproval of the new Policy, during the notice period and until the updated Policy come into effect, in which case your account will be terminated.

The Policy

 

General

The Site, by its nature, deals with establishing connections between people (employers and those looking for work). Therefore, personal information is an integral part of it. This Policy addresses what personal information we collect, what we do with the information we collect, who we share it with, and other related aspects (for example, what is a cookie and why do we use it).

 

Information that Candidates for Employment provide and information about them

As a candidate, we will request you provide us with personal information such as: first name and last name, address (of which we will only display on the Site your place of residence (city’s name) and an address close to your address), email address, whether you smoke or not, date of birth, telephone number. spoken languages, textual description of your experience and general information about yourself, and preferred employment region. If you choose to sign up with your Facebook account, we will accept from Facebook your account details such as first name, last name and email address. Additionally, if you communicate with us by phone to receive our services or customer support, such phone calls may be documented and recorded by us in order to train and enhance our customer service agents.

The registration process allows you to enter additional information, such as contact names and contact information of recommenders, photos, and a video clip. We will mark the fields that are mandatory to fill out. You are not required by law to fill in the mandatory fields. However, without filling them you will not be able to register to the Site. Other fields are optional.

During your activity on the Site you may receive reviews from employers. You will be able to respond to these reviews. From time to time you will be given the option and may even be required to enter additional information to the Site and we will allow uploading of supplemental information about you, for example, a recording of conversation with a recommender whose details you provided.

To enable you to pay to the Site, we will need your personal information as well as your credit card number or your PayPal account. Please note - your payment method details (credit card or PayPal account) are handled directly by the payment processing company and not by us. We only receive partial information such as the payee’s name and some digits of your credit card number (yet not your full credit card number).

 

Information that Employers provide and information about them

As an employer, we will request you to provide us with details such as: first and last name and email address. If you choose a paid package, you will also need to provide payment details including your name, address, telephone number and payment method information (credit card number or PayPal account) which will be managed directly by the payment processing company and not by us. If you choose to publish an ad, you will need to submit the ad content, which will allow you to provide the full address of the job location (which we will not represent and instead will display only an approximate address on the map) as well as a photo.

If you choose to sign up with your Facebook account, we will accept from Facebook your account details such as name, last name and email address. Subject to your permission and Facebook’s authorization, if applicable, we may request access to the list of your friends on Facebook. We will use such list, among other things and subject to the package that you have chosen, to let you know who are your mutual Facebook friends with a specific user who is registered to our Site, or your Facebook friends who such specific user worked for or was reviewed by in the Site.  In addition, during your activity on the Site you will have the option to upload your reviews about candidates, subject to the Site’s Terms of Use.

 

Additional Information

Once you register with your Facebook account, we will request you grant us access to details from your Facebook account. From time to time, we may ask you for more details to enable us to provide a specific service on the Site. For example, when contacting us with any request, we may ask you for further details regarding your request.

During registration or any subsequent stage, we may verify your identity. In order to do so we may ask you for documents such as a photocopy of your ID card or other ID and we may use third party service provider for this purpose. Our decision whether to approve your registration or to continue your activity on the Site may depend on this process.

 

You Must Provide Correct Information Only

For you to maximize your user experience from the Site, you must register to the Site. Registration requires you to provide us with personal identifiable information. Without correct details, it will be difficult for us to provide the services we offer on the Site. Incorrect, outdated, or misleading information will harm your experience of the Site and the Site's activity in general. In addition, we seek to denounce anyone who tries to impersonate another or give misleading information. Therefore, you hereby warrant that all the details you provide us are true and accurate.

 

Information You Publish on the Site is Exposed to the Public

Attention: The information published on the site, in the framework of the ads, reviews, responses to reviews, comments, recommendations, etc., is public and exposed to other users of the Site. Therefore, all information you upload to the Site will be publicized (except for information related to payment details, passwords, or any information that we specifically stated when you uploaded it that it will not be disclosed). We recommend that you act with caution when uploading any content to be published on the Site, and refrain from uploading any content which its publication disclosure may result in infringement of your privacy.

Accordingly, You must refrain from uploading any information that is one of the following: information about a person's personal affairs; Information about a person's medical or mental condition; Genetic information as defined in the Genetic Information Law, 5761-2000, Information about a person's political opinions or religious beliefs, information about a person's criminal record, Communication data as defined in the Criminal Procedure Law (Enforcement Powers - Communication Data), 5768- 2007; Biometric information; Information about a person's financial status; or consumption habits of a person that can lead to information regarding the above mentioned information. We are not capable to examine whether content uploaded to the Site is one of the above mentioned information types. The management of the Site relies on your statement in this matter, secures the information uploaded by you accordingly and is not responsible for any damage or expense incurred to you and your privacy and to any other person, as a result of a breach of your statement in this matter.

 

You Must Respect the Privacy of Others

As stated in this Policy, you may upload content and information relating to others, for example reviews, recommenders’ details and more. You must respect the privacy of others and avoid any act that may be considered a breach of their privacy. For example, as a candidate you must obtain the consent of your recommenders and it is warranted by you that you have received such consent from them before submitting their details to the Site. As an employer, when giving a review on a candidate, you must consider their privacy and refrain disclosing personal and intimate details about the candidate that are not relevant or necessary to the review. In cases where you have doubts, consult the appropriate professionals before uploading content that may prove offensive.

 

The Information we Collect During Your Use of the Site

As with most websites, our server computers collect data about the activity of the Site's users, such as pages that were viewed, the duration of sessions, types of content viewed, actions performed on the Site, Internet (IP) addresses assigned to the Site user's computer for the purpose of accessing the Internet, website from where the user got to the Site, type of operating systems in the users' devices and more.

This information is collected in part as a standardized and automated process of the Site's logs and is also received and analyzed by companies that provide statistical information and analysis services such as Google Analytics, as well as site security services, and hacker protection services.

Additionally, we collect information regarding your use of the Site, such as the date of your last entrance to the Site, how many requests were responded by you (in percentages) and the average time it took you. Such information, or part of it, will be presented to other users of the Site, as part of your ads within the Site, and in accordance with our terms in this regard, and depending on whether you are an employer or a candidate.

 

Why do we Collect Information?

The information we collect enables us to provide you and other users of the Site with our services as well as to enhance our advertising activities, for the ongoing activity involved in the management of the Site, in monitoring what is happening in the Site, in its security and in making improvements and modifications to the Site. We may also use the information we collect to send you messages, inquiries, questionnaires, surveys, and other information about the Site and our other activities, including promotional messages about our services.

Subject to your consent, we will send you promotional messages about other topics (i.e., promotional content regarding services of third parties), by email and text messages. At any time you will be given the option to notify us to cease sending promotional messages related to the specific type of messages your cease request relates to (for example: ads agent if it includes promotional messages). You can also use the removal option if offered with the message, or by sending us a removal request in response to the message you received from us, from the email address to which the message was sent to you, to: support@helpbook.co.il. We will cease sending you such messages within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of such notice, subject to technical operating restrictions.

To the extent necessary, we will also use information related to you to process requests to remove content from the Site and to investigate and prevent abusive use of the Site, such as violations of rights, fraud and identity theft and, if necessary, for related legal proceedings.

 

Who do we Share Information With?

We share information with other companies as much as is necessary to realize the purposes for which we collect such information. This includes sharing information with companies such as payment processing companies, invoicing, statistics, storage of the Site and the information within the Site, information security, companies who help us with locating and solving technical faults, companies who provide us with Site-related services, companies who provide us with the possibility to communicate with you using SMS or email messages and companies who provide us with marketing services (such as Facebook, Google, etc.), either by using Cookies (as further detailed below) or using other tools. We will also share information if the law requires us to do so, for example in case we receive a court order to disclose information.

 

Statistical and Anonymous Information

Statistical and anonymous information is not subject to the laws of privacy protection. We may collect and share such information without restrictions. However, when we use such information, we will not take any action that knowingly may disclose your personally identifiable information which has not been publicly disclosed during your use of the Site.

 

Merge or Acquisition

If we merge our activities with another company or if we are acquired by another company, the new company will use your personal information in accordance with this Policy.

 

Where is Information Stored?

The information we collect is stored in our database, registered in the Registrar of Databases (No. 700060901), in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, that is located on the Site's computer systems as well as at server hosting and data backup providers which may be located outside of Israel. Additional information, as detailed in this Policy, is collected and maintained by other companies (such as statistics, payment companies, etc.). They may also store information outside Israel. Your consent to this Policy also constitutes consent to the storage of information abroad.

 

Data Retention

We will retain information related to you, as long as it is used in accordance with the purposes detailed above in the section titled “Why do we Collect Information?”, and especially while you are a registered user of the Site. Such information will be retained following the termination of your account with us,  only if necessary, for example, if we need to keep information in order to report to the authorities, for possible legal proceedings, for documentation and archiving purposes, to prevent infringing users from opening additional accounts on the Site, in order to continue to display relevant information on the Site such as reviews on a candidate, etc. Information that we no longer need in its identifiable form will be erased or anonymized.

 

Privacy Practices of Other Websites

This policy concerns your use of the Site only. The Site may include links to other sites or enable you to login to your Site’s account by clicking on a link which is provided by us by SMS or email message. The activity of these websites is not managed by us and accordingly, their privacy practices might be different than ours. Therefore, be careful and keep your account details of other platforms (such as your phone or email box) in strict confidence. Our Facebook page is governed by Facebook's privacy practices and not by this Policy. As you may wish to review this Policy, you may also wish to review the policies of any site you have been directed to from our Site or any other relevant service provider.

 

Cookies

Cookies are files that are stored on your device. We use them, and other similar tracking technologies, to operate the Site, and among other things, to remember your log-in details and make it easier for you to log-in the next time you access the Site and to improve its performance.

Cookies are stored for a certain period of time, according to our decision from time to time.

Third parties, such as Facebook and Google, may use cookies or other similar technologies, to collect or receive information about your use of the Site, and use such information for advertising purposes.

You may avoid the collection of any information through the use of cookies, by changing the settings of the specific browser which you currently use to access the Site to block the use of cookies. Please bear in mind that doing so may have an effect with your user experience with our Site. If you are using Helpbook’s app and interested in blocking the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies, you should remove the app and use the Site instead.

 

Advertisements

As part of our use of cookies, as mentioned above, we use also advertising and analytics tools like Google Ads, DoubleClick and Google Analytics services. These tools place a cookie on your computer that is controlled and managed by them (third party cookies) and allows them to customize the advertisements you view on the Site and other sites according to your preferences and your network activity. Companies that run these tools offer the option to remove yourself from receiving targeted advertisements by managing permissions such as Settings for Google Ads and may also allow you to block them from collecting information related to you by installing a browser add-on, such as Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. Please note that all these services are offered and controlled by these companies and not by us.

 

Your Choice

We give you a very large scope of choice in connection with the management of information related to you on the Site. Among other things:

  • Much information that can be entered into the Site is optional and not mandatory;

  • You can edit and modify an ad, freeze it, and even delete it according to this Policy, as it will be from time to time;

  • You can cancel your registration to the Site and your details will no longer be accessible to other users; and

  • you can  block cookies by changing the settings of the specific browser which you currently use to access the Site, as explained above.

If you request the deletion of information related to you, please note that the duration of the deletion process is subject to the limitations and technological constraints of the Site’s system. Additionally, we may keep copies of such information if required for legal purposes, for control and documentation purposes, etc, and as further detailed above in the section titled “Data Retention”.

 

Information Security

We implement information security systems and procedures to protect information related to you from abusive and unauthorized use. For example, all pages of the Site are secured by SSL encryption protocol. Payments by credit card are done via a secure vendor's payment processing platform that complies with the PCI-DSS standard and our hosting service providers implement physical security and monitoring systems to prevent unauthorized access to the Site.

These systems reduce security risks, but none of them provide full security. The systems of the Site, including the software used by it, is not immune to malfunctions. Therefore, we do not guarantee that information related to you will be immune to harm and unauthorized access.
